Edgars invites Gauteng to be united in ORANGE for a 6km walk/run on Saturday 2nd December during the 16 Days of Activism. The race will start and finish at the Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton, followed by a picnic and music for the whole family
The funds donated will be used towards financing the accredited training of the women survivors in the Edgars UNiTE campaign and assist the women with business skills development and the formalizing of their businesses (company registration, marketing, finance and business skills development)
No children below 9 years old.
6km is not that far. Plus you don’t lose any points for walking. This is more of a day of solidarity so no timing will be taking place.

The first batch of runners start at 7am. The Orange Day picnic runs until 4pm.

We have 3 venues for shirt collection, Mall of Africa, Sandton City and Eastgate Edgars. Orange Run pack collection will take place on Thursday 30th and Friday 1st between 12pm and 7pm. Please look out for the clearly marked Orange Zones within your selected Edgars stores. These stores are Sandton City, Mall of Africa and Eastgate. The collection points are selected on booking your tickets, t-shirt sizes are available on collection. Please don’t forget your ticket as reference.
Yes you can bring your own picnic supplies for after the run.

Most of the route is on tarmac but there is a lot of grass and slope at the Mushroom Farm Park.
You need to get there as early as possible. With thousands of people arriving, parking and going through ticketing, you don’t want to be left in queues. Get there at least an hour before your starting time.
No, but we recommend you bring a cool zip bag to keep your items safe.
Arrive on the event day in your Orange Run t-shirt and wearing your running gear. The start and finish is Mushroom Farm Park. After the run there will be a picnic in the park with various activities.
Parking is available at Sandton City Mall – Weekend rates R10 per car and Radisson Hotel – hourly rates. Please look out for Orange Run Marshals stationed along Rivonia Road and around the venue to help direct you.
